when your husband is right...

So, I probably should not even be admitting this openly, but sometimes, your husband is just right. It's not all the time, just like it is not ALL the time that I can be right (as much as I want it to be).

I had an experience this week in Greenville's 100+ degrees days and 115 degree heat indexes with a broken vehicular air conditioner. That's right. Fiona Ford let me down. It's not fun to drive home and feel sweat trickle down your neck even though your windows are down and your Max AC is on. It was a mess.

I told Robbie, looking for some sympathy and hoping he would "come to my rescue" by calling the car place, arranging to take it in for me, etc. But, once again, I realize that I don't live in a fairy tale, I live in the real world. The one where he says, "Let me go to the bathroom then I'll make some calls". He goes, plays Guitar Hero and never calls. Then, this morning, calls me as I get into the car to go to work and says, "Call the guy you bought your car from and see if it is still under warranty, if it's not, then we'll call the other place tonight." WHAT? I don't want to do the work!! I wanted YOU to do it all!!! I gracefully said, "okay, I"ll try to catch up with him today." All I can think is, Robbie, you know good and well the car is a 2005, I've had it for 2 years. Do you REALLY think it is still under warranty? I'm going to waste an entire day that I could be sitting in the luxury of air conditioning in my car b/c you want to shirk responsibility? blah blah blah, the games your mind will play.

Well, needless to say I emailed Eric. Low and behold, I am under warranty. Not only now, but until 11/2009. I made an appt with the dealership tomorrow. So, there you go. He was right (which by default means I was wrong). It will be all easy and taken care of due to that warranty... I think I was smart to marry this guy!!!

Grandfather Mountain

Yeah!! We got out of town for a weekend over Memorial Day and we went to Grandfather Mountain! Robbie really enjoyed himself and now he wants to go back to the mountains again, this time looking for a waterfall.. We had a great time. My sister's family met us there so we had an extra special time taking Robbie and Henry on their first trip across a Mile High Swinging Bridge. Anyway, here are a few pictures:

do unto others....

So, I was watching a movie, The Whole Ten Yards, this week with my husband. Very funny, although morbid and I kept getting tickled at Bruce Willis. He's a contract killer. He's a very "bad" guy, but he decides he has some morals. He tells Matthew Perry, "Oz, do unto others, or you'll turn into a pillar of salt." hahahahaah I laughed and laughed at that, then it made me think. So many people out there are seriously confused and mixing their metaphors!
In response to this, I have started a new blog called "Clearing it Up". You can read it at www.cleargitup.blogspot.com Check it out, please leave comments!!
