culmination of crochet projects

So, for Christmas this year, I made a lot of homemade gifts. I think I finally have pics of everyone wearing their new fun stuff... and some pictures of me in stuff I made for other people this year.  When I started making things that I liked to wear each day, some of the girls at work saw them and wanted some for themselves or family members.  So, I ended up making a LOT of stuff and, around $200 right at Christmas time!!

Here are some of the things I made for other people this year (sold):

The first pictures is of a whole group of stuff I made. There is a brown toboggan, a red/fuscia hat with a flower, a matching scarf, a purse and a baby blanket!!  The purse is actually a chocolate and blue color. I think it turned out pretty well overall.  I'm modeling the hat in the last pic.  I'm not big on flowers on things, but the customer LOVED it!

Then I decided to make gifts for the smaller/younger cousins at Granny's this year. Once I got started, it was hard to stop! There is one photo I don't have... a little jacket for River. It's the first article of clothing I've ever made and I think it turned out okay. Hopefully, she'll be able to wear it this spring and someone will catch a pic of her in it. Here are the pics I do have from Granny's this year:

They are:
Kaylan (purse)
Hayden (scarf)
Ethan (toboggan)
Henry (hat)
Cole (hat)

So, after all that work, I still found time to make a few things for gifts at mom's house... I had made a Panther's hat for Sarah, James and Henry. In the process, Robbie saw James' hat and tried to "steal" it, or convince me that he needed it instead of James. Of course, I did not agree. (I didn't make Panther's gear for Daddy and Sara b/c I had seen some Panther's knit hats at their house over Thanksgiving). I was working on projects down to the last second, including starting mom's as we were driving home. I had to have something to pass time in the car. So I worked and worked until I was just about car sick, then roads got curvy and I completely had to stop. I still had more to finish Christmas eve at mom's. I tried to get up before her, she was already up. I tried to work on it while she was making breakfast, but she kept coming into the room. So, I had some extra yarn in my bag, leftovers, blue and black. I started piddling with a hat pretending to make it for Robbie (who was still asleep) and every time she'd leave the room, I'd pick up hers and go as fast as possible!! I actually finished that hat for Robbie before I could half finish hers!! I ended up going to Granny's to finish it!! So, here are the last of the Christmas crochet projects!! In the end, Robbie said he liked his striped hat better than James' solid one.  :D

Finally, a real snowfall in Eastern NC!!  I have been waiting YEARS for this one!!  Here are some pics from the day here....

Robbie and I on the front porch trying to stay dry....

The view from the front porch across the yard and into the cul de sac across from us...
So, Robbie wanted to see what Leo would do in the snow. Obviously, it doesn't look like Leo would like it outside, does it?  He loves sunshine, but not snow... one touch of his tootsies on the cold white stuff and he darted back into the house and then looked terrified.. see below!

Sorry it took so long to get them posted. I tried to post them the day it snowed, but blogger didn't want to upload pics that day for some reason.  They say there's a chance we'll get more snow next week!!  (Not as much as before, but maybe some flurries).
